"In Tajikistan, you can see brand new modern highways, signature buildings etc. that have a lot to do with Chinese investments and Chinese companies," said Dr. Safarov, deputy director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of Tajikistan.
"Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed the construction of the ‘Silk Road Economic Belt' and the ‘21st Century Maritime Silk Road' last year, which is a beautiful and feasible idea. It creates a life space not just in Central Asia or in the neighborhood of China, but also in a wider scope on the Eurasian continent," said Dr. Safarov.
"China has become a stabilizing factor in the development of the world. For a long period of time, it has demonstrated extraordinary ability in coping with challenges and attracted attention from the whole world to its potential and influence," said Andrei Vinogradov with the Institute of Far Eastern Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences.
"The influence of China's economic growth has been felt in South Korea, in Asia, and even around the world. It is obvious that China has become the engine of global economic development over the last two decades," said Kim Jin Ho, professor of Political Science & International Relations at Dankook University in South Korea.
According to Dennis Bracy, CEO of the US-China Clean Energy Forum, China's economic growth has played a positive role in the regional economic development. "In the meantime, the leaders of China have realized the importance of and has committed themselves to a more balanced and sustainable development, which will make China a more important player on the world stage in the future," he said.
